Aircraft Maintenance Engineers

Job Title: Rotary & Fixed Wing AME

Wisk Air Aircraft Maintenance Organization service provides a wide range of aircraft maintenance services to support our expanding fleet. We are currently looking for independent, detailed oriented, and motivated full-time AME's to work in the Thunder Bay hangar location

Duties and responsibilities

  • Report directly to PRM or floor manager
  • Troubleshoot aircraft structural, mechanical and hydraulic systems to identify problems and repair using approved technical documents and established procedures.
  • Remove and install aircraft parts associated with aircraft engines, airframe, landing gear, hydraulic systems, flight controls and other systems as required
  • Document all work accomplished in accordance with company policies
  • Complete and maintain company training
  • Identify ways for continuous improvement of maintenance process and safety
  • Maintain Wisk Air owned ground equipment
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Willing to travel to repair and/or conduct inspection when required

Qualifications

  • Certification as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME)
  • Turbine engine experience
  • Effective verbal and wrriten communication skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Helicopter experience is an asset but not required
  • Flexibility to work shift work and overtime
  • RAAS experience is an asset but not required

Job Title: Helicopter Pilot

Wisk Air Helicopters is always on the lookout for pilots for our light, intermediate, and medium fleet.

Required Qualifications

Light and Intermediate

  • 1500 Hours Rotary PIC
  • 500 Hours PIC on one or more of the following types: Bell 206 and 407
  • External Load / Long Line proficiency
  • Meet ASRD and BCFS Pilot Competencies
  • Preference to those with a Mountain Course and/or those with 500 hours of mountain experience

Mediums

  • 3000 Hours Rotary PIC
  • 500 Hours on Bell 212/412
  • External Load / Long Line proficient
  • Meet ASRD and BCFS Pilot Competencies
  • Preference to those with a Mountain Course and/or those with 500 hours of mountain experience

Preference given to candidates with

  • Precision longline experience

Skills

Tech-savvy, strong communication with clients and staff, team player, good judgment and PDM skills, a commitment to high professional standards & safety, analytical skills, and an excellent work ethic.
